Warm welcome for visitors to churches in Breckland and Broadland

A Breckland church throws opens its doors to visitors on Sunday, May 14.

And on Saturday, April 22, the Friends of Hemblington Church have invited Ian Hinton to talk about “The churches of Broadland.” The talk at 2.30pm is free and will be followed by a tour of the church (Postcode NR13 4EF) to examine its architecture. Light refreshments also available.

In May, come and enjoy afternoon tea at All Saints, Threxton, near Watton. Margaret Austin and colleagues will welcome visitors to raise funds for the upkeep of the church between 2pm and 4pm.

There will also be home-baked items, plus books, bric-a-brac and crafts, for sale. “We want to keep the doors open,” she added.

The Postcode of All Saints is IP25 6LU.

The Society, which visited Threxton on its summer tour in 2019, has also given grants to the church over the years. It also received one of the last major awards by the Heritage Lottery Fund for a major repair and restoration programme about five years ago.
