A series of events to mark September’s national heritage celebrations will be taking place at All Saints, Hemblington.
One of the churchwardens, Catherine Howe, will give short tours on the history of the church, architecture and stonework, on Sunday, September 20. For details, contact Mrs Howe on 01603 270360.
And a special display of paintings by John S Applegate on the theme of “Coast & Country” will take place on Saturday, September 12 (10am to 4.30pm) and on Sunday, September 13 (11am to 4.30pm).
The exhibition of work by the Gorleston artist is free and refreshments will also be available.
The church has a large medieval wall painting of St Christopher among many other features.

White signposts to Hemblington Church will be placed at various crossroads too by the team of Friends of All Saints Church.
