Highlights of the latest September edition of The Round Tower include the invitation to the Society’s autumn conference in south Norfolk on Saturday, October 24.
Already nine members have booked places.
The study day, which is being held by kind permission of Sir Nicholas Bacon and the Raveningham estate, features three speakers. It is planned to arrange a vist over the luncheon break to St Andrew, Raveningham.
Prof Sandy Heslop, Mrs Ruth Blackman and specialist brickmaker Tony Minter are the speakers. Meet from 10am for 10.30am start and the study day should end about 4pm with tea.
It takes place at the Conservation Barn, Raveningham NR14 9 EX or W3W cornering.snipe.quicker.

Numbers are limited but it should be a good programme as Mrs Blackman talks about the massive restoration project at St Mary, Beachamwell, following the disastrous fire in February 2022.
Prof Heslop is the co-author of the major study into the city’s churches, The Parish Churches of Medieval Norwich, published earlier this year. At more than 500 pages, it is a great read.
